Autumn's Arrival

My wardrobe is a TIP. It literally looks like a bomb has hit it. Why? Because early mornings when I can hear rain thrashing my window, I'm raking for warm clothes.
Dark warm colour palettes are what I'm scouring for. I'm not a wearer of bright colours.
Anyway... as I am poor at the moment, I am trying to make the most of what I have. However, I do have one or two items on my wish list which I thought was about time to share...

I think I'm going to have to do some serious babysitting to be able to actually buy any of these.....think I might do some cutting down on the wish list. Or e-mail this blog post to Santa Clause?

Hey man.

I'm blogging for the lads today. Not that any are going to read it :( But we all love a man who dresses himself well. Do we not? Anyway, I've fallen a little bit in love with Oliver Spencer

I looked at this, laughed and said 'PHA! THIS ISN'T SUMMER COLLECTION'..........then I looked outside my window to see overcast and high winds. Anyway, Mr Spencer seems to like a busy or a patterned shirt underneath a plain blazer. But he uses a weird range of colours throughout his whole collection. Peach, Light Blue, Deep Indigo, Orange and Navy have no connection. But I don't think Oliver Spencer aimed to create a meaningful colour pallet, I think his aim was a good audience. I mean, I know sooo many boys who dress like this. Look at the bottom left image (from the collection of images above). This strapping young lad models rolled up chinos of a thin material. White trainers and a blue stripey shirt. It's soo casual but cute. The first image (top left). What colour draws your eye? It's the green polo underneath and the blue socks, this is because of the colour blazer he put with it all. It's subtle but statement, similar to the last image (bottom right) Royal purple and Bright Orange... doesn't sound appealing but certainly looks it.
Anyway, I'm done with the babble... but my new favourite designer of the week might have to be Michael Bastain. (Sorry Ollie). Take a look at his Spring/Summer 2012 collection.

It seems as if Bastian takes the original 'sailor' fashion and adds adds to it. He uses a lot of blues whites and reds. But works it with specs and high tops. Nice one Mike.
Oh by the way I'm currently listening to this brilliant tune... take a listen....

Anyway.....
French Connetion worked in Michael Bastian ways.....
